Do you like being a Bodhisattva? How do you become a Bodhisattva? Most of all, what is a Bodhisattva?

A Bodhisattva is an aspiring future Buddha, who decides to take the first step towards achieving the final goal of becoming a Buddha. Anyone can become a Bodhisattva, if only you know how. It is not difficult, but it is not the job of a lazy person. However, if you understand correctly of the truth of the universe, you will not be lazy at all, and neither will you find it a chore to practice.

What is the criteria of a Bodhisattva? In simple words: The Goal of becoming a Buddha, and working tirelessly for the goodness of others without any selfishness.

A lot of people knows about helping others but may not forget about self during the process. There are many who help others but goes around seeking praises and confirmation by the public by posting photos and all kinds of self-glorification of charity. However, there may also be instances where these charity has to be done and reported, such as those that will require a reporting of the use of other people's contributions to the funds for the cause, that is a different story.

In reality, there is nothing to be glorified about. A Bodhisattva understands that all are one with us, there is only one and not two or many of us, and when we do good to others, we are actually doing good to ourselves.

This blog category shall attempt to share ideas and Dhamma to help you as an aspiring Buddha in your journey as a Bodhisattva.
