The All Leaf Potato Story

There comes today where I have a bunch of vegetables in the refrigerator, ready to be manhandled by my (un)sharp knife.

There are a few stalks of mustard, a quarter of Chinese cabbage, 1/3 of a carrot and one potato. All these cut into small pieces, and all steamed when I cook the rice with a little dash of soy sauce.

The result is a very fragrant dish. The potato and carrot are sweet in different ways, and the leafy vegetables are lovely, although the mustard was a bit overcooked with the steaming.

This dish is pretty fulfilling. I will not mix white rice with this, because it will make me bloat. However, I am using brown rice, which does not give me that bloaty feeling. It is very nutritious, yes, and I highly recommend that there is no need to add anything else even if you are making a non-vegetarian version of this dish because this dish is energy packed. It is delicious enough even for kids.

Now you go have fun with this dish and go ahead with your food porn. You don't always need to have very expensive or heavily flavoured foods for your food porn. If I want some ajinomoto in my life, I will turn to my junkie packet of Mamee Monster. 😂
