Supposed to be stir-fried

This morning, I had wanted to stir-fry the vegetables that I had prepared. However, my whatsapp messages kept coming in since 6.30am, while I cannot reply some, I did manage to reply one, the one from my boyfriend's niece for our dinner date this Sunday.
So, what's up? I have my half of old cucumber, lots and lots of cabbage hearts and 2/3 of a carrot left. I love all these three ingredients, and since I cannot stir-fry them this morning, I can only do what is the fastest for me. I put them all in the pot, added half a pot of water and cooked it on low fire.

The result is a lightly refreshing soup that has a tinge of natural sweetness to it. Its been raining the whole morning, and I was worried for some of my supported charity homes at the low land areas. They had been very much affected by the 2 floods late last year, but I think today's rain was still okay. Flash flood, yes, but evacuation no. Not to that extent, thank goodness.

Nevertheless, I was late for work. But that's another story. Traffic jam, can't be helped too much. From my home to the main road usually takes only 5 minutes, today it took me 30 minutes. You can guess what else would have happened. Someone hit my back bumper too, but I guess she panicked more than I was angry. So, let it be. No scratches anyway.
