A Week's Lunch

Yesterday, I went to a new place to buy the vegetables for my lunch. New for me, the shop had been operating for years now. I bought the supplies for a whole week's lunch and it cost me only MYR5.80 (that translates to lesser than USD1.50)!
When I started to do this vegetarian lunch routine, I went to the market or Econsave. At that time, I was not too sure about what I was going to do, so I bought many things that lasted me more than a week. I also did not have enough commitment to bring it through, so some vegetables became rotten due to my inactivity. However, my commitment became stronger 3 weeks ago when I decided to change certain things in life.
3 weeks ago, we consider that the first week, I bought my vegetables at TESCO. The amount was approximately MYR8.90, but that included one packet of frozen mixed veggies that I am able to use for many meals. Last week, which was the second week, I bought from the market that seemed to cut my throat at MYR14.40 for a week's supply of simple vegetables.
So, yesterday, when I stepped into that shop, I thought that it would be the same as the market price. A bit reluctant at first, but I didn't want to go too far. After choosing what I need and place them all into a bucket, I went to the cashier. She started counting and to my astonishment, it all came to MYR5.80.
There you go. You know that this old shop has gained a new fan. And here is my lunch for today: mustard and frozen mixed vegetables made into soup for convenience.

Convenient because when I cook this, I only add water and let it boil over low fire at the stove while I go shower. By the time I finish my shower which is lesser than 10 minutes, I can turn off the stove, get dressed and come back to the kitchen to pour the whole thing into the thermal container. By lunch, my food is still warm and I get to eat lots of vegetables and drink up the soup infused with all the essence of the vegetables.
Now THAT is convenience.
