Low calories yet energetic

Somehow, it is strange that a low calorie plant-based diet can provide fuel to my body to last long enough for my brains to function in great condition. In fact, my brain functions even better than the time I had meat for lunch.
I am having Chinese Flower Cabbage and Carrot soup. It is so easy to make, only boil them together for about 5 minutes until the water is at boiling point.

It is nothing fantastic, nothing luxurious or decorated. It is just plain and cheap vegetables available to me at a very low cost. The only thing I need to do is to wash it and chop them all up into bite size.

What I did not expect is that the age-old excuses about eating vegetables only not capable of providing enough energy for you to last for the day's activities is just a fallacy. When I first started this lunch practice, I did get hungry out of habit. The habit is just a psychology excuse of not eating enough, and so there is always the urge to snack. But I opt to drink water instead of snacking, and now I also have my simple soup to fill up the empty space in my tummy plus adding on nutrients of the vegetables that transfered to the water while cooking.

Honestly, this is really beautiful. I lost 1kg per week, which surprised me as my intention for this diet had never been for weight loss in the first place. What is more surprisong is that the weight loss is consistant and this practice is sustainable.
I guess it won't be hard for me to get back my hour-shaped figure (something I lost since 3 years ago) by Chinese New Year 2018. 😊
