Rain Garden

In the middle of town there is a tropical rain forest. It is the Rain Garden restaurant, complete with toy monkeys and even a tiger!

We made a reservations for the evening. There was a male singer on the keyboard. It was a quiet evening. The place was decorated with lots of Chinese New Year decorations. By itself, the building is an art. A heritage art.

The kids were famished. They each ordered a strawberry milkshake. Boyfriend ordered an iced lemon tea while I got me a pot of Jasmine flower tea. I was expecting those real flowers tea like how I usually have it at home, but turns out it was from those teabags. Is okay, they are more fragrant.

I shared this with boyfriend.

The food was okay. I suspect that their expertise is beef, because they managed to cook their beef really good. Not too raw and not too cooked. Hubby said should be somewhere 80%, as there had been no blood oozing out.

However, the portions seemed a bit too small for the kids. So, after their mains, we had one more burger cut to quarters, nachos and a small slice of cake shared amongst us. The cake was good.

I would give this place a 4-stars. In terms of pricing, it is a bit pricey for its portion, and the drinks were not really good enough. The sauce for the Pesto Chicken was good though.

Not bad for a romantic evening, the ambience is one of a kind. Made me feel like I had gone back to the rain forest in Langkawi.
